"Thank you Gump for the 2nd place in this contest!

I never expected to win considering the other strong entries. It is a welcomed surprise, nonetheless.

This photo I submitted was part of a 3-part photo series of the theme “Red Riding Hood”, with an ethnic twist.

In this version, Red is a hijab-wearing Muslim girl cautiously making her way to Grandma’s house.

The photo was taken in the forested area of Coney Island and manipulated in Photoshop to change the lush greens to create a more mysterious environment.

Smoke was added and some colour-grading was introduced to tie all the elements together."
