Look againThis large brass-looking faucet suspended in the air, pouring a river of plastic out is not PS-ed!
This, is Von Wongโs latest art-as-activism installation. The artist gained access to a building that was going to be demolished and managed to find ventilation ducts to develop the faucet.
Teams of volunteers then helped to sort plastic waste to create the flow pouring out of the faucet. They then lifted everything with a forklift to the location!
This #TurnOffThePlasticTap project is a screaming warning about the plastic crisis we all are facing.
Imagine this faucet were active and real, and a neat representation of whatโs going on around our world as plastic pollution overwhelms marine and land ecosystems, polluting our food system, water sources, and each breath of air...
It's photographers like yourself who can send powerful message like this.
