When Pete Eckert found out he's going to lose his sight 27 years ago, he's on his way to becoming an architect. It was also around this time that he discovered his motherβs old camera.
Eckert is now an award-winning photographer.
As he famously said, βYou donβt need eyes to recognize beautyβ.
When working on Volkswagen's project, he captured these captivating, ghostly images by building them in his mind, using sound and touch to visualize the vehicles.
He was able to get a feel for the curves and design features which he later artistically captured on camera.
Are you inspired by Eckert's beautiful story? How have you overcome challenges in your own journey?
